“Series Pioneers of forgotten routes – Ready, steady!”

GALAGAN-GERSHUNI TAIA, born in 1968, Kyiv — Ukrainian artist, author of installations, objects, video and audio performances. Belongs to the generation of the “New wave” and the artistic squat “Paris commune”. In 1995 she graduated from the The National Academy of Visual Arts and Architecture (faculty of theory and history of art). In 2000 she passed the master’s program at the University of Saskatchewan, receiving a master’s degree in fine arts in the field of painting. After graduating, she taught drawing and basic design at the College of animation, and later moved to Vancouver, where she taught at the Vancouver Institute of fine arts. Participates in exhibitions and art projects since the early 90s. Works are stored in private collections in Ukraine, Switzerland, Norway and Canada.
