BOVKUN VOLODYMYR, born on September 17, 1951, Uman, Cherkasy oblast — ukrainian artist and sculptor, member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1986). In 1969 he graduated from the Republican Art School, in 1975 — Kyiv State Art Institute (now НAOMA – The National Academy of Visual Arts and Architecture), specialist tutor — Tetiana Yablonska. Works in the field of graphics, sculpture, easel and monumental painting. Main works: “Night smimmer” (1988), “Prayer” (1989), “Temple” (1995), “Wind Catcher” (1998). Personal exhibitions were held in museums in France, USA, Great Britain; participated in international art programs in the USA: Washington, New York, Chicago and San Francisco. Works are on display in museums in Ukraine, USA and Europe.
