YABLONSKAYA TATIANA, born on February 24, 1917 in Smolensk, died in 2005, Kyiv – Ukrainian painter, Professor (1967), academician of the Academy of Arts of the USSR (1975), People’s Artist of the USSR (1982), current member (academician) of the Academy of Arts of Ukraine (1997-2005), bronze medal of the International Exhibition in Brussels (1946), laureate of State Prizes of the USSR (1945, 1951, 1979) and Shevchenko National Prize (1998), Hero of Ukraine (2001). Deputy of Verkhovna Rada in the USSR. She began her creative activity as a follower of socialist realism. She was interested in active movement, work, sports and motherhood themes. In the second half of Tatiana’s life she tended to follow neo-modernist movements in art. She is the most famous ukrainian representative in the world whose works are in the monographs and catalogs of world-famous artists of the 20th century. Very rarely her works can be bought, most of them are in Ukrainian museums and other museums abroad.
