“Industrial landscape”

VAINESHTEIN MOSES, born in 1940, Donetsk – died in 1981, Kyiv. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. 1958 – graduated from the Republican art school named after T. Shevchenko, 1965 – Kyiv Art Institute (now НAOMA). Tutors: S. Hryhoriev, K. Trohymenko, M. Khmelko, S. Otroshchenko. 1968 – creative workshops of the USSR Academy of Arts, Kyiv. Ideologist and founder of the ukrainian version of the “severe style” in the 60s. Later in 80s – the supporter of metaphysicians and poets. Member of the all-Union and national exhibitions.  1987 – personal (posthumous) exhibition. Author of thematic paintings, portraits and landscapes. The artist’s works are stored in the Kyiv National Museum of Russian art (now Kyiv art gallery – National Museum of Ukraine), Poltava, Kharkiv, many Museums and private collections abroad. One of his famous works came to the collection of the Ludwig Museum (Köln).
