“Gardens are in bloom”

KYIANCHENKO YURII, born in 1911, Obukhiv – died in 1989 – ukrainian painter and tutor, founder of the famous creative dynasty of Kyiv artists. In 1932 graduated from the two-year Kyiv Art-Industrial School. From 1932 to 1939 studied at Kyiv Institute of Proletarian Art (1934 – Kyiv State Art Institute, now НАОМА), where his tutors were K. N. Yelieva, P. H. Volokydin, O. O. Shovkunenko, K. D. Trokhymenko. After graduation, he taught at the Kyiv State Art School. Since 1939 he participated in regional, and then in national and all-Union art exhibitions. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR.  Since 1945, he worked in the Studio of the Kyiv Association of Artists, where he led the art studio. He worked in the field of painting and graphics. He wrote mainly on agricultural topics, creating vivid images of rural workers. He is also known as a master of landscape and poster. The works of  Yurii Kyianchenko are included in museums, private collections in Ukraine and other countries; they are also presented at the National Art Museum of Ukraine, galleries and private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
