“Fishermen”

ZHUGAN VOLODYMYR, born on August 27, 1926, Likhivka village, Dnipropetrovsk oblast – died in 2008 – Ukrainian artist, landscape painter. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. Studied at the Dnipropetrovsk Art School with M. Panin, M. Pohrebniak (1946-1951), tutor – O. Kuko. Since 1949 he began to exhibit works at art exhibitions. In a creative manner, he is not only a representative of the “severe style”, but also most devoted, bright follower and a master of the industrial landscape. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1964. Merited Artist of Ukraine. Works are on display in art museums of Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kamianets-Podilskyi and in numerous private collections. Lived and worked in Dniprodzerzhinsk (currently Kamianske).
