“Factory road”

ZORKO YURIY, born in 1937 – Ukrainian painter, graphic artist, watercolorist. Graduated from Donetsk art school. Tutors: V. Hladkyi, B.Stashevskyi. M. Hlushchenko and T. Yablonska. People’s artist of Ukraine, member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1972, organizer and leader of the group “Donetsk plein air”. The main theme of the master’s work is the poetry of the industrial environment. The characteristic features of his artistic manner – hard, constructive lines and contrasting bright colors. Since 1966 Y. Zorko was a participant of more than 100 art exhibitions in Italy, Bulgaria, France, Belgium, Germany, Cyprus and other countries. His paintings were exhibited at the London Stock Exchange and Chambers Gallery (London), in Ukrainian and European auctions; in museums in Ukraine, Russia, Belarus; private collections in the USA and Europe.
