“Spring morning”

SHYSHKO SERHII, 1911-1997, Kyiv. Was a People’s Artist of the USSR, laureate of the Shevchenko National Prize of the USSR and member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine. Studied at the Kyiv Art Institute (currently The National Academy of Visual Arts and Architecture). In the 40s his art was distinguished by the fine lyricism. From the 60s onwards he is an outspoken supporter of impressionism, coloured with the expression of colour and line. One of the most prominent representatives of ukrainian art of the 20th century. Serhii’s works are the most expensive and desirable among modern ukrainian collectors.
